An anon asked me what inspires me. Well here, my influence/inspiration map! bout time I did this Now you all know what influences/inspires me to draw~ Although, these are all pretty obvious if you’ve known me for quite some time LOL
I WANT TO BE LIKE HOSODA, IMAISHI, AND SHINKAI WHEN I GROW UP OTL
Mamoru Hosoda: The guy who directed Summer Wars, Our Wargame, the first season of Digimon, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I absolutely adore his works.
Digimon: Pretty much an extension of Hosoda. This series is what really got me into drawing so it will always be special to me.
Hiroyuki Imaishi: The man behind Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, one of my absolute favorite series. He’s also the director of Panty & Stocking. He’s worked on Dead Leaves, Evangalion, Abenobashi, and Medabots just to name a few. I love how bold, fast, and crazy his style is. It’s just so distinct.
Makoto Shinkai: THIS MAN THIS MAN THIS MAN. HE IS AN AMAZING MAN. He made Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and 5 Centimeters Per Second. His works are absolutely beautiful and his visuals leave me speechless. I really want to create backgrounds like him some day.
Takako Shimura and Shinobu Takayama: I’ve been adoring these two mangaka lately. Shimura for her drawing style and Takayama for his awesome coloring skills.
Music: DURRHURR of course the picture is f(x). Haven’t drawn so much until I came across these girls. But while I’m drawing these girls, I’m listening to 90s pop HAH.
